Blog Entry 4 (Egg drop challenge)

Welcome back everyone! This blog will be a step-by-step tutorial on how to use the software for 3D printing and the 3D printer itself. So let's get started!     Step 1: Exporting fusion file to STL Step 2: Using Cura to convert STL file to a file readable by the 3D printer          Start by selecting the model of the printer and upload the STL file          Then slice the model by pressing the "slice" button on the bottom right Step 3: save the file onto a thumb drive Step 5: Insert thumb drive to 3D printer Step 6: Prepare filament for 3D printing Step 6: Choose the file using the printer's user interface.  Welcome back! Sorry for the period of no updates as shortly after where I had left off, the looming end of semester tests was happening. As such I had to prepare for that which left me with no time to put together a blog on what I have done. As such I am quite enthusiastic about this blog as I have not written in a while. In today's blog post I will be covering 2 lessons where I have learnt about materials for design (MFD), design for materials (DFM) and sustainable design. So let's get right into it. Up first is MFD. MFD was a module I had taken in year 1, due to that fact, the concepts taught this time around were a breeze to absorb and served as a nice refresher and reminder that concepts from other modules will be applicable in the course. As a summary, MFD is a process where an end result is desired  aka a design and materials are selected based on the requirements of the design.
